WW2 German ‘Luftwaffe’ Officer’s Dagger (By Eickhorn, Solingen); This original, WW2, German ‘Luftwaffe’ dagger (2 nd Pattern) has the etched ‘Eickhorn, Solingen withSquirrel’ makers stamp at the top of the blade. It’s crossguard has been ‘denazified’ at some stage in itslife, as the cross below the eagle is missing. I’ve been told this was common practice after the war, and canbe replaced if wanted, by purchasing a new crossguard. The overall condition is very good with someminor oxidation on the blade.
